Sunday another hot day in BroomeWe set off for the open air cinema with our cushions/pillows last night but it started lightening and odd rumbles of thunder so we decided perhaps an open air cinema was not such a good idea and turned back.A good job we did because the whole town and van site lost power for about an hour.We thought we would go tonight but after we had been told by 2 people to drench ourselves with Aerogard (mossie deterrent) we thought maybe not a good idea.Joe can't douse himself with Aerogard even though it is reckoned to be odour free and he would have been bitten to bits.We found the camels just in time to see them on their sunset trip.More by good luck than management we sat where the camels came between us and the sun so we got some good photos and video.Hope you agree. Tomorrow we set off on our journey through the Kimberly's, first stop Fitzroy Crossing. We wanted to do the Geikie Gorge boat trip but they are not running yet because the roads have not opened after the wet season so we shall keep traveling to Kununurra where there are flights over the Bungle Bungles and boat cruises which open all year. We reckon it will take us 3 days to get there and how long we stay will depend on which tours we take.
