Today we had a plan and we hit the ground running! No dragging our heels this morning! Up and at em we were! First stop - Tower of London! Wow! How much history does this place have! It was built more than 900 years ago by William the Conquerer! Used for many things including a palace and a prison. Many greats of the past were sent here and executed. Of course the highlight for me (being a huge fan of my Royals) were the Crown Jewels! I was just stoked to be in that room! I went on the escalator past the jewels numerous times just because they were so pretty! Oh gosh! I just loved it! We saw all the crowns that kings and queens had used in the past and use now, the scepters, the orb, the banquet stuff, the Regalia that Queen Elizabeth wore during her coronation. Oh I just can't believe I got to see it. What an honour! I just loved listening to the history of the Tower. To walk through there where kings and queens have walked before. Oh boy! Amazing! Ok I'll leave that for now. Then we walked across the Tower Bridge! Oh my gosh! I just couldn't believe I was walking on the Tower Bridge! Poor Jacqui jumped a mile every time I slapped her arm to tell her where we were! We did the Tower Bridge Exhibition where we went up the tower and walked along to the other one. We learnt about why and how the bridge was built and also got to see the original engine rooms with the steam engines. What a great structure! That was very cool! After that we remembered to have lunch this time and stopped off at The Sherlock Holmes Pub for a hearty feed. So much so that we didn't need dinner tonight! We then went to Madam Taussard's where I finally got my photo taken with the Royals! I didn't find Diana though :( Anyway that was it for today! Tomorrow we head out of London to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath! Looking forward to that!
