Kirsty Hi, this may sound weird but the photo of you in Hamleys came up on Google pictures when I was Googling Hamleys and lego. I got the shock of my life, you look like me in the picture, so much so that when we did go to Hamleys we took a very similar picture. Friends and family that we have shown both pictures to have been unable to tell that one of the pictures is not of me! Very bizarre!
re: Hamleys - Lego Statues Of Royal Wedding!Bev Hale It's 20th here, so no doubt you are reluctently dragging your feet towards Heathrow, BUT, the snow, etc is playing havoc with everything, so I read in the NT News today. The NT News is infamous for it's front page croc stories, but it could have got it correct re weather in the UK!!!! Safe travelling home, and many thanks for sharing this trip with us all. Go IT!!!!!
re: London, UKjoannethomas Jo has forgotten to mention in this blog before I fell over climbing up a brick bank she to also fell over. However Jo did not fall up a bank instead she stood in a mud puddle and fell on her arse. Good thing we had laundry that night as her pants were totally cover in lovely mud.
re: Prague, Czech RepublicBev Hale Hope you were not anywhere near where the helicopter crashed in Central London.
re: London, UKBev Hale I was gob smacked with the Crown Jewels, made my tiny solitaire diamond look like glass from a coke bottle!
re: London, UKBev Hale Was he a tourist or now a local? We met a vendor on the Spanish steps who been a taxi driver in Melb, then went home to Rome.
re: Jo Listening Intensively To Some Random Old Dude Talking About Catching A Taxi From Brisbane To Cairns To See His Fiancé!Bev Hale We got to see the real one, in a museum, I cried at the beauty of the "lad", the detail of the work, the sinews on his hands, the warmth of the white marble. Awesome!
re: Jo Hanging With DavidBev Hale It's an amazing building and the inside is out of this world. The marble in awesome, there's more to marble than the old washbasin stand of my youth. The sheer size of it all, the alter, the cupola, the size of the letters around the top of the cupola. The workmanship is amazing. We were in awe from go to woe.
re: Entrance To The Vatican CityBev Hale And, Jo, there are still people who strongly believe the holocaust never happened! They should be dragged there!
re: Mauthausen, AustriaBev Hale Please explain! The cathedral is fantastic, the tradesmen were certainly good way back when, eh!
re: photo from 08 January 2013Jo Exactly! At least this way people can't deny it. Apparently it is a requirement that all school children here visit a concentration camp at some point during their schooling. It's not pleasant but it shouldn't be forgotten.
re: The Gas Chamber- last visited
