From Hvar we travel one and a half hours to 'Brac' and anchor in a uncrowded bay. We came here because our agent told us we could fish outside the fish farm, for yellow fin Tuna. On investigation we find the bay where the fish farm is, is restricted. Therefore, we may not be able to fish.
We then travel by tender to view what is supposed to be the most visited beach in Croatia. We go about ten nautical miles to 'Vol'. We wanted to find a nice sandy beach to play 'boules', but the beaches are all stone or rock in this area. The large spit beach is really crowded, so we retreat to a smaller stony beach for the boules tournament, which is won by MB, Chris and Kath.
We have passed a small family taverna on the way here which is build into a cliff
just up from the waters edge. Garnaut wants his pizza and beer. There is no pizza but beautiful fresh food and white wine all grown by the family.
On our way back to BP we see half a dozen boats fishing outside the fish farm. We send Niels and Paul to investigate. It appears it is not as restricted as stated, or fishermen take a punt in breaking the law. We have now heard that the week before, two tuna had been caught 210 and 250 Kilograms. Paul and Niels have no luck trolling so we decide to have another try after our visit to 'Split'.
