After trying to get a bed at Worldwide Backpackers, where we had stayed last time we were here we ended up getting a bed at Rosemere backpackers! Round the corner for WW but up an unbelievably steep hill...not good when carrying a heavy backpack!!

We were greeted by Paul and Greg who we'd met a few weeks back at worldwide, completely random considering we didnt expect to ever see them again! We were planning on going out that night to meet the 4 kiwi ac/dc guys but instead ended up having a really good night with every1 from the hostel! It was great as lots of people we'd met at worldwide a few weeks before were turning up too.

Very hungover the next day we did literally nothing! Until the evening when a good sausage sizzle, courtesy of the hostel, helped fully cure the groggy-ness! So headed into town with Greg, Paul and german guy Markos and watched some ridiculous street act involving a strange yank climbing a ladder getting shot in the face a chicken! Strange (not a real chicken by the way). Went back to the hostel, played some cards, kirsty went to bed and I somehow ended up drinking with some guys til bout 3 am! Not good when we had to get up at 6 am to get a bus! Oh well it was our last night staying in hostel in New Zealand!

somehow managed to catch the bus taking us all the way back up to Whakatane to stay at Steve and Sharons for our last week in NZ!!
