Arrived at what was supposed to be our hostel on friday in Taupo, but was told some divvy had double booked!....all was good tho as we were sent to their sister lodge, a nice little place down the road!

Got our adrenaline pumping on the Huka Falls jet boat doing 360 degree spins along the lake and to the huka falls...quite a sight! The pics will be up soon and you'll see us looking cool in our spray sheets! :)

later on we decided to something bit calmer, so went on a boat tour which takes you across Lake Taupo which is actually a live volcano and to some Maori wall carvings. We found out tho we were the only people who decided to do the tour so was just the 2 of us on this big old steamboat. We soon realised why as we got out to the middle of the lake where the wind had picked up somewhat and the waves were huge....I found it pretty fun but Kirsty was pretty scared as we were rocking so much it felt like we came pretty close to capsizing!! got some good pics of the carvings tho!

Taupo was good for the short time we were there but off to Rotorua now for 3 nights for some geothermal activity.
