Bangkok Day 5 (08.06.2012). Today was our last full day in Bangkok. We really needed a lie in after Thursday's events and left our lovely NapPark at midday day heading for Jim Thompson's house. We were unsure why but every guide book placed this guys house in the top 10 highlights so we felt obliged to see what all the fuss is about. Jim Thompson was an America expat who set up home in Bangkok.. His house has now been transformed into a museum housing a collection of antiques and art work. The guy apparently disappeared in Malaysia is 1967. It really is a nice house and we had the best guide.. Glad we went after all.

Next stop Siam Square and the MBK mall (gee it's huge) for lunch following which we paid visit to Ocean World, the best aquarium I have ever visited.. After a wander around Siam we caught a taxi to the Sirocco Sky Bar whereupon we were inspected by the hotel staff and made to change into smarter clothes - -- possibly the posh'ist hotel I have ever been in (featured in the Hangover II). We treated ourselves to Hangover'tini cocktails and took in the amazing view from floor 64. After making our drink last as long as possible, we couldn't possibly afford another drink there and thus headed back to our much loved Khao San Road area treating ourselves to a Thai Massage. I had a half hour head and shoulder massage costing £2.. Bliss.

Now in my NapSpace for the last time. It's going to be mission getting everything in my bag tomorrow after a few Thai purchases. Tomorrow night we are heading for the sleeper train to the islands.. No blogs tomorrow but hopefully we shall have wifi at Koh Phangan.
