Brisbane (23.08.2012): We had the whole day to explore Brisbane today. We wandered around most of the day starting with a walk to South Bank (they even have a Brisbane Eye - rip off). We strolled down the river before crossing back over and checking out the botanical gardens. We managed to walk by everything that was highlighted on the map as being an attraction. Brisbane (22.08.2012): We partook in our last OZ experience bus ride today setting off at 8am for the journey from Rainbow Beach to Brisbane. Fraser Island (21.08.2012): Awesome day at Fraser Island today. We so have to come back one day to do it properly. We made it half way up the 120km island - the largest sand island in the world. We set off at 7.30am on the 'Fraser Explorer' 4WD truck bus. Being a sand island, it is accessible to 4WDs only. Rainbow Beach (20.08.2012): Ah bliss. I would live in Rainbow Beach. So nice and relaxed. This is a very small town with a big big beach. The beach is glorious. It is called Rainbow Beach due to the different coloured sand here. Now that we have left the Great Barrier Reef behind us, there is surf. Truly a wonderful place. Emu Park to Rainbow Beach (19.08.2012): Today our bus driver was Sonic, a great guy. All the OZ experience drivers are fantastic. We set off at 8am for a long day driving down to Rainbow Beach. It was just us two all the way down to Hervey Bay where a nice English guy jumped on for the rest of the journey (1hr 30mins).
