Rainbow Beach (20.08.2012): Ah bliss. I would live in Rainbow Beach. So nice and relaxed. This is a very small town with a big big beach. The beach is glorious. It is called Rainbow Beach due to the different coloured sand here. Now that we have left the Great Barrier Reef behind us, there is surf. Truly a wonderful place.

This morning we had a free breakfast!!!! We hadn't believed them after the free internet con but wow, our first free breakfast in OZ. It wasn't up to much but we made the most of it. We then went to book our day trip to Fraser Island for tomorrow. Every traveller we met does a 2 night 4WD safari on Fraser but we just don't have enough pennies left. Alas at least we get to see it! Looking forward to it as the island sounds spectacular. One day I need to come back to the East Coast to do all the bits we had to miss out.

We headed for a walk to the Carlos Sandblow after booking our trip. The sandblow is huge and pretty awesome. We chilled out looking at the view for a while before returning to Pippies to do some much needed washing. We got some detergent from the supermarket as the cheap stuff we have gotten in the hostels doesn't seem to do anything. Yay we have clean (still wet) clothes!

We headed to the beach for the afternoon. We are pretending we are on a one week holiday now as that is all we have to go!! 3 months sure does fly by. It's 7pm here now and I am going to try to find somewhere with wifi and blog!
