Emu Park to Rainbow Beach (19.08.2012): Today our bus driver was Sonic, a great guy. All the OZ experience drivers are fantastic. We set off at 8am for a long day driving down to Rainbow Beach. It was just us two all the way down to Hervey Bay where a nice English guy jumped on for the rest of the journey (1hr 30mins). We stopped at the Bundaberg Factory where they make rum - the most famous rum in OZ. We got to take part in a tour and got two free rums to try. NICE!

We both left as big fans of Bundaberg. If by any miracle we have any money left over at the airport, we may have to buy a bottle. The rest of the journey was a straight run to Rainbow Beach where we arrived at 18:00. We have checked into Pippes Hostel and just been for a quick drink with the guys from the bus. Going to chill out with a movie tonight. Beach time tomorrow.

Very angry at Pippies as they advertised "free wifi", what they didn't say is that the "free wifi" is only for 30 mins and then it is an extortionate rate. We only booked this hostel for the "free wifi". Grrr. I wanted to upload some photos and blog (so behind) - plus we were going to try and skype tonight. My one jibe about Australia is no wifi anywhere. The hostel are expensive - you really get free breakfast and they charge for every little thing: internet, safes, bag storage, towels, cutlery… BIG MOAN.
