Cairns (Green Island, 07.08.2012): Wow wee. Today we enjoyed a fantastic day at Green Island (Adam's birthday present from his parents). We set off at 9am from the Reef Terminal at Cairns Esplanade on the 'Big Cat' boat. The journey to the island took 1 hour 15 minutes - what a fantastic journey it was. We managed to see several humpback whales - the boat got as close as it could. We even managed to see a synchronised breach of two whales. It was amazing! Sadly ...

Cairns (06.08.2012): Ouch, 5:30am alarm. A quick change and then a 6am bus ride to Melbourne Airport to catch our 08:50am flight to Cairns arriving at 12:15pm. In 3 hours and 25 minutes we were back in the tropics. YES. Time for suncream, shorts and flip flops again. I loved South Australia and Victoria but it is so nice to be back in the heat.
