The 24th saw another easy day in preparation for our two week tour of Northern Thailand. The movie channel was on in our hotel room whilst Jacqui slept off a migraine Probably the heat!! We met up with our tour Guide and the rest of the group at 6pm. There are only 5 of us doing this tour - Sarah from Sydney, Indie from Melbourne, Steve from Yorkshire and Us. We all went off for a very nice dinner with the Guide Terry and some group bonding.

The 25th started early Neen headed off to the pool at 8am for a swim and then we headed off on the first part of our tour down the river in a longtail boat. We went off into the canals to look at how thai people live on the river. Everywhere we went there was a temple and another temple. The river was a hotch potch of traditional small thai homes right up to the posh larger western looking homes. We then went to the Wat Pho temple where the reclinning budda is housed. It is huge and made of gold!! Very interesting and very pretty We headed off for lunch with Sarah and Indie and then we are all getting ourselves sorted for our overnight train from Bangkok to Chang Mai. A nice 13 hour trip!!!!
