Today 3rd we did a bit of preparation for New Zealand - we bought some warmer clothes Then we headed to the Botanic Gardens to get another view of the harbour bridge and opera house. We also managed to get a parking fine!!! Whoops we parked in a bus only point! The we took a leisurely drive to the Blue Mountains - we stayed at another YHA in Katoomba - which was an old 1920's building. Again we had a lovely room - they are very impressive for the price. We took a small drive to see the sunset over the mountains - the three sisters and the scenic railway. We decided to cook some food and have a night in as we were both tired.

On the 4th we headed off for a drive to see the sights of the mountains. One of the best was Pulpit rock where you can walk to the edge of the cliff and see a huge drop down. Unfortunately some of the trails were closed due the fire earlier this year.
