Wassup!
Been a pretty eventful weekend so updating my vlog now :)
So friday i had work. Got two sign ons which was alright. After work went to Jacob's room in base hostel where we had the idea to look at Eminem ticekts on gumtree, majority of them were selling for $200 each which was ridiculous so we scrapped that idea haha.
Saturday morning we woke up and i decided to just have another look for Eminem tickets on my laptop... Found a guy selling 3 for $100 as his kids who he bought them for could no longer go. The ad had been up for 4 hours already and had 70 views so i was unsure as to weather he would have them so i gave him a ring straight away to which he didn't answer. From the voicemail I found out his name was Paul and he sounded like he was from Yorkshire. Left a text saying I was interested in getting the tickets if he still had them. He did! So we immediately got ready (had a shower that was literally 2 minutes long), waited for Jacob then got the next bus to Sallyville which was an hour and a half journey!
We got off at the stop nearest his house and walked all the way to his house which was in the middle of nowhere, it took us about 45 minutes to get there. On his doorstep both Me and Will realised we didn't have any cash... So we had to walk 45 minutes to the nearest ATM, get the cash out and walk all the way back again. The concert started at 4 and we only picked the tickets up at 4:30!!! Thankfully there were 5 support acts so we didn't miss Eminem.
After getting the tickets we were about to make the long walk back to the bus stop when a man pulled up in his car with his son in the passenger seat and really kindly offered us a lift to the bus stop which we were really grateful for as it saved us a lot of time and the car had air conditioning!!
We then had to get two more buses to the ANZ stadium which took 1 hour and 45 minutes. We got in and sat at our seats on aisle 611... We were the furthest point away from the stage. I decided that we should try and get us into the floor seats/standing part to which Will said 'I know for a fact that it is impossible to get down there.'... Two minutes later, we were a few rows from the front! $33 well spent! Made friends with some kiwis before Eminem came out and had a really really good time!
Then got the train home where the guys sat behind us had about 300 straws of sherbert and were passing them around the train so that everyone could have some... It soon turned into a sherbert fight! People would open both ends of the straw and blow them in the person next to them's face or hair it was hilarious! I just sat there and had all the sherbert because it had been a while since i had had some nice little sweets.
Saturday was a really really good day!
Sunday I woke up and was invited to play table tennis by Domenico, one of the Italians in my flat. Me, Will, Domenico, Mikele, David and Jacob (only one not from our flat) all went to the public tables at Darling Harbour where we had a great time playing football and table tennis. All the guys seem to get on really well, as well as Chiara the German girls. The other two girls (the South Korean girl moved out a couple of days ago) seem to keep themself to themself which is absolutely fine, but everyone else gets on really well. I think we're even planning another flat party soon which is great!
Monday i woke up and went to work. I didn't get a confirm until the last 30 minutes which isn't very good but my team leader told me that you will have really good days and really bad days so I shouldn't worry about it.
Spoke to David about me coming in tomorrow. I''m going in at about 10:30 to hand in my CV and have a conversation with the manager who is apparently really friendly and is English so hopefully that will work out. David said he went with absolutely no experience in anything they did there and he got a job straight away, and English is his second language! Working there means I will not get taxed at all as it is cash in hand every two weeks so i'll just put that straight into my savings account which will work out well. I know already that out of the other 10 people who got the job at 2 evolve with me 4 of them have already quit after 3 days because they don't like the constant pressure to reach your targets.
Fingers crossed for the coffee shop though!!
Until next time... PEACE

Lynn Hi Jacob. Have been reading your blogs and asking your mum and dad how you are going on. You seem to be having an amazing time and I am really pleased for you. People appear to be very friendly over there but I have to say you are an easy person to get along with. Take care of yourself and I look forward to reading more of your blogs! Love Auntie Lynn X
