Hi again!
This is sooner than expected but the internet in our flat has improved a lot recently so i'm able to get on more (touch wood!)
So... we went out for the free pizzas at scruffy's, they were delicious, went back to base hostel for drinks with everyone before heading out to scubar where we queued for 55 minutes, got to the front, then decided to go somewhere else. So where did we go? Back to scruffys!
The next day we woke up and went for something to eat with the girls at cheers before going to woolworths (different to the one in the UK that shut down but still a supermarket) to get some pasta and sauce so we can do our own cooking rather than eating out (we've had pasta and sauce twice and we are already sick of it!)
We then went to visit Andrew who works for Job Search Australia. He told us about a call centre job which we can have a group interview for the next day at 5pm.
We then went back, had a swim in the pool and then went over to base hostel to drink with everyone before a few people's last nights out!
We went to scruffy's to start with (shock) before going over to a place that's new to us called Side Bar. That was really good: live music was great (this night i spent $0 because some guy we were friends with has just got a sponsorship to stay here so he was buying everyone drinks haha!)
On the walk back i saw a poster for Allen Stone (undiscovered American soul singer) who is coming to Australia for 3 dates including Sydney whilst we are here! Definitely going to that :)
The next day we went to our group interview where we were the youngest there by about 4 years (this seems to happen a lot, only met one person our age).
We went in and immediately were given a small piece of paper each with a character on that we had to argue why they should go to the moon. I got a 34 year old police officer/stuntman so i ranted about how helpful i would be etc.
We then had 1 on 1 interviews which i thought went pretty well.
The outcome of the interview was that Will has a trial tomorrow morning whereas i got told i would receive a call tonight with the outcome. At first i fancied my chances as 10 of the 15 people would be getting a job, with only 2 or 3 people being told they had a trial the next day, but it is now quarter to midnight and they still haven't contacted me... So it's a job hunt tomorrow!
We then got the train back, bought a $3 pizza and headed out to Cheers (our local) to watch Andy Murray lose in the Australian Open. Even though it wasn't the result we wanted Me, Will and the Scots had a good time.
And that's me up-to-date again!
Peace xo
