Excited, we were ready to go at 8am waiting in the lobby. It wasn't a long drive at all but the wait for them to coordinate groups when we arrived was ridiculously long. Anyway our trip is guided by "Mr One, the only One" - so he says. We head off for our longtail boat with a group that is mostly Chinese, one guy called Aaric is immediately entertaining and adopts the tour guides number two initially as he keeps repeating what he says and passing out instruction...

We weren't feeling too smart this morning after last night's tipples with Yosh but we plodded on and headed for our ferry at 7.15am in Thongsala. In desperate need of a good night's sleep we were sat falling asleep at the dock waiting for our typically late ferry to get in. We both crashed and barely felt the passing, arriving around 9.30am changing onto a surprisingly swish coach - air conditioned with comfy seats, not at all what we were expecting! Jacq pass...
