Big day today! We slept well and opt to check out the EMP museum first to see the Nirvana exhibition that finishes up at the end of this year. We pack up check out and head off in the hire car for a visit to Jean Laffite swamp. It's a half hour drive and we're early so stop for some lunch Jacq gets the chicken gumbo soup - spicy sausage chicken and rice - Matt gets a beef poor boy which resembles a roast beef dinner stuffed in a bread roll rather than the typical poor boys we've seen, regardless it's tasty and we find the swamp tours after a call to check the postcode which is 5 miles short! We lay in shattered and venture out in the car around 2pm to check out the town. The big day is here! So excited about jazz fest!!! We get glammed up in beads, silly glasses and badges and head off by cab to the festival. The queue is a breeze and we shoot in straight to the food stall to sample some proper jambalaya - it's beautiful!!!
