We arrived in Paris after a suitably pleasant flight over some wonderful scenery. Paris was much colder, as we expected, and fortunately we were much better prepared this time. Being the seasoned European travellers that we were/are, we had no issues in getting to our hostel, which was in the centre of Montmatre.
We explored Sacre Couer again, and sampled some local cuisine (still no snails!). We tried to take it very easy as it was our last stop in Europe. Our one big achievement was climbing the Eiffel Tower! We went all the way to the top, mostly taking the stairs. It was a great view of Paris and a nice sunset to top it off.
The next day, which was my final day, we wandered around the section of Montmatre where the artists sit. It was a pleasant area, which no doubt was once a very authentic Parisian square, but is now very touristy. I flew out to Kathmandu via Abu Dhabi late that night.
