So, our first day of exploring. We started off with a trip to Versailles to look at the Palace - very impressive. It took 3 hours to walk through the palace and the extensive gardens. Had a salad baguette for lunch (yum!).

We then proceeded on to the Le Tour d'Eiffel. It was foggy everywhere in the city so we couldn't see the top of the tower, or anything else. We didn't go to the top this time - no view. Walked from there to the Arc De Triomphe, another very impressive monument.

Despite some confusion with the Metro, we successfully navigated back to Montmartre, where we are about to head out to dinner. A very successful day indeed.
