Ian & Claire's Adventure
We arrived in Nadi really early, had some great banana cake and coffee. Then we were bombarded by women at the airport, who said Nadi bay was full so we booked in to the grand Melanesian. We got there and spent the day (sunday) doing pretty much nothing but sleeping our journey off and sunbathing in this bizarre hotel, there were no tourists just locals getting ratarsed and playing pool.
The next morning we caught the bus into Nadi, a funny ride, really friendly people. We went to a travel agent who wasnt much help then went to the recommended Planet travel and met Sam who pretty much organised the next two weeks for us. We then caught the late bus down the coral coast to the beach house where we had a really nice meal and pitched our tent the place seemed really nice. (the women were great with kids) and they did free afternoon tea, scones and big mugs of tea.
It rained most of the time we were there, so we spent a couple of days wandering on the beach, lazing in hammocks and reading. We then set off to Pacific harbour for our first spot of diving.
