We left Warroora Station and headed to a 24hr bush camp for 1 night at Barradale, very large bush area, nice. Then we travelled to Nannatura for fuel (Diesel) which cost us $2.04 a litre! Moved on to morning tea at Robe River (another 24hr stop over spot), then on to Karratha for an icecream and moved on to Cleaverville Beach about half way between Karratha and 'Roebourne. This place is beautiful. Our camp overlooks the water and the weather is warm and winds calm. We are looking to spend a week here, depending on the appearance of sandflies!!
So far we have been here three days and sandflies are at a minimum. We had an evening at the Gazebo with about 25 people for a dinner supplied by the Caretakers.....so nice of them. We have met two families who are travelling with their children and are home schooling them. The kids are having a great time. Allen is waiting for the wind to die down a bit so he can get the boat out on the water. Yesterday it was perfect for the boat but the sandflies were pesty so we travelled into Karratha for a few hours.
Woohoo Freo won last night and we are hoping they can take out the flag next weekend. Allen is waiting for the Grand Final game today between West Perth and East Perth.....for those that dont know, he is an avid East Perth supporter.
