Today we arrived in Kununurra. We stopped are we were coming into town, at the thLions Club Park where you can view the overflow of the dam. There was also a boat ramp and beautiful scenery, all spoilt with an abundance of rubbish!! What a shame. We toured around at various caravan parks as there is no free camping in this area, and decided to come back to the one we stayed last time around. After another 500 or so kilometers we stopped in at Wyndham, but it was just a stop.....found nothing worth staying for except their big croc....photo time!! We travelled through so much fire ravaged land, there is hardly anywhere up here that hasnt had a fire run though. This area is very dry inhospitable land.....lots of cattle dead on the side of the road that possibly could have died of thirst, as well as road kill. The roads are trecherous with the cattle...

We drove 580 kms from Broome to our overnight stay at Mary Pool which in peak season is really full. It was nearly empty with only 8 campers there this time. The water wasnt there either.....dry old river this year. The cattle hover around the camp ground and are not bothered by humans coming close to take photos lol. We stayed here one night and then headed for another long day on the road.

It was 41 degrees here today so we took Sandi for a dip at the dog beach. It was not just for Sandi though, Allen and I needed a cool off dip as well. Every time I went into the water Sandi would follow even though it was much deeper than she could handle and waves were swamping her lol.
