Another early start today so we could time our beach driving with the tides. The notorious Indian Head was passed without a hitch and then on to Champagne Pools - rock pools that the waves break into causing the water to fizz. We lunched at Orchid Beach and then on to Wathumba Beach on the west coast of the island. A beautiful spot but the signs warning us of stingers was enough to keep us out of the water. On the way back we helped a family being hastled by a dingo. It's whelping season and this dingo was clearly trying to watn this family away from her den. A photo shoot at the SS Maheno wreck, and then some uncomfortable (for me) beach driving on the dark to get back home. No safety issues...tide was on the way out and we had enough lighting...just not my cup of tea.
