Day 5:
(Our flight was bound for Taipei where I would be spending another night.)
Sayonara Sapporo!!!
We woke up at 7am and prepared to check out of the hotel. We didn't do much in the morning; merely grabbed some bread at the convenience store and headed towards the JR Sapporo station to catch a train to the New Chitose Airport.
The train ride was about 35min. We reached New Chitose Airport at about 930am. We spent the next few hours, shopping for gifts and souvenirs for friends and relatives. The airport was pretty impressive; it looked exactly like a mall with many array of shops for travelers to get last-minute stuff for themselves or for others. At about 1pm, we were done and proceeded to the lounge for a restful hour before boarding the plane.
Hokkaido is really a fantastic place. Besides the places of attraction, food, the cold winter weather, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip because of the 24/7 spent with Emma. And I really thank God for the trip. In the month prior to our trip, the collection from my billing to my clients all came in, just at the right, perfect timing.
I'd miss Hokkaido and if I ever had a chance to, I'd wish to go back there again. This was my reflection as the plane soared and as Hokkaido faded herself into a sea of fluffy white.
