Really good day in Washington but it was hot! We walked down the road past the White House to the Washington Memorial and then to the Lincoln Memorial, I had not realised but there is a large statue of the president inside. We walked along the Potomac river to the Jefferson Memorial before walking down the Mall to the Capitol building. We then found a lovely fountain which we were allowed to sit and dangle our feet in. We then spent 2 hours exploring the museum of American History before walking back to our hotel. It has been really good to be walking again but we have ordered in pizza for dinner, its been a long day.
