A great drive today from Abingdon to Washington. We drove through the mountains which was very scenic. It was amazing weather changing between sunshine and thunder storms with the temperature reaching 30 degrees then dropping to 20 degrees then just as quickly back up. Driving into Washington was amazing. We drove over the Roosevelt memorial bridge and spotted the Lincoln memorial on the banks of the river as well as the Washington monument rising high in the distance. After a rest we walked out for dinner passing the White House on our way. Feeling a really good vibe from this city and looking forward to some good walking tomorrow.
