We arrived in Surfers Paradise on the 17th Nov, we weren't sure what it was going to be like because had heard very different opinions from people, again this isn't one of the main stops but we thought we would see for ourselves.

It is very different to everywhere else we have been as it is very busyand commercial and there are huge skyscrappers everywhere. The beach was really nice though which is the most important thing!!

That evening we went out with the hostel, they were doing a deal where they take you to a bar and a club, we got free entry and a free drink in both. I couldn't believe how busy the streets were when we arrived and everyone looked about 16. We were told that it is schoolies week which is basically when all the kids finish school they go to Surfers for a week or two. Quite glad to get in the bar away from the screeming.

The bar was cool, it was called the shack and the music was really good dancy. We then moved onto the club which was called the bedroom. Agaiin the music in there was really good, spent all night dancing it was really good fun.

Didn't get home until very late so had a bit of a lay in the next day, then went to the pool as Kat was fed up with the sand?? We just chilled out all day, played a bit of tennis and basketball then had dinner and an early night.

We did pretty much the same for the next few days, went to the beach walked around the shops and chilled out. I don't know why people don't like it here I really enjoyed myself.

Got picked up from Surfers on Tuesday and headed for Byron Bay where we will be staying for 1 week.
