We got the oz bus in the morning from Hervey bay, most people were going through to Brisbane but we had been told that Noosa was cool so so we decided as we stopped off there on the bus we would get off and stay for a bit. Before we got to Noosa though we stopped at Rainbow beach and went for a walk. It is called Rainbow beach because aparently there are 70 different shades of sand. After our walk Jimmy the driver got some didgeridoos and gave us a little demonstration the let us have a go, I wasn't very good but I did manage to get a sound out of it!!
After this we all had a go at throwing the boomerang, they only had a right handed one with them so it didn't really work fo me. After this we got to Noosa. When we got off the bus at the transit centre there were a few people there that we had met before, they were all staying at Koala's so we went there, it was quite cool because they checked us all into the same room.
The weather started to get really bad, there were hailstones coming down the size of my fist and the wind was really strong then all the power went out. Kat came back to the room drenched, she said as she was walking down the road a tree had floated pass in the water and aparently there was a news crew round the back of the hostel. We went out there to have a look and they were interviewing this guy who was staying at the hostel as his car was in the air. A tree had been uprooted and his car had been parked underneath it!! a girl that worked behind the bar came and said they were doing free chips in the bar as that was the only thing they could do. We were starving as we hadnt eaten so went over, it was quite funny as everyone was sitting there in candle light!! We took one of the candles back to our room.
The next morning when we woke up the sun was shinning, unfortunately loads of water had leaked in our room and it stank of damp it was gross. We told them about it but we couldn't move as there was nowhere to go. We got off betterthan most though as some people were ankle deep in water and another room had the roof come in!!
I really liked Noosa, there was plenty to do whether you wanted to just chill out or go out and party it was a really cool place. We spent most of the week chilling out in the day then going to the bar in the evening. It was quite cool as the Koala bar at the hostel was where everyone went to start with so we didn't have far to go.
We left Noosa and headed to Brisbane on Friday 17th November
