After our hotel move from the night before we soon settled into our room at the Hilton. It was even better because they even let us have the suite for 2 nights, so no single beds!

We had a lazy morning and in the afternoon we decided to drive out to the zoo which was about 20 minutes away only to get there and it was closed so we had a drive back through the town instead. The main thing about palm springs is that it is hot (40 everyday!), dry, lots of palm trees and is surrounded by mountains.

We then went for a stroll around the block, where Ian was amazed by the restaurants that spray mist on the customers whilst they eat. We ate in the bar and both had a salad that we couldnt finish as it was so huge.

Ian was really happy that the hotel had ESPN so he could watch some of the footy.

We have a 4 hour drive on Sunday to Lake Havasu where we stay for one night.
