Girls up early (!) and decorated the Christmas Tree. After breakfast they played on the new pool table that C and I had sledges down the cellar steps and set up. They also had scrape pictures todo and nail makeovers and false diamanté eyelashes that they wore to go home!!! Via MacDonalds!! I cleared up and came home

C, J and three friends arrived to celebrate J's birthday with a trip to the lantern procession and fireworks. Had a 'birthday' lunch and got the lanterns out of the roof. Surprisingly undismayed after several uses and years of storage. Weather kept fine and tho well wrapped up it was very pleasant out. Off to Ambleside alone as Ian too busy. Cleared leaves in horrible damp, cold, misty weather. Not happy!!

Tidied everything up and headed off home after lunch. What a lovely half term! Sadly not really happy with the painting of the gate posts. Too damp and cold.

Met up with g and V and J and B. lovely meal at the Glass House. Always enjoy the food here and the company was excellent!!
