C, J and three friends arrived to celebrate J's birthday with a trip to the lantern procession and fireworks.
Had a 'birthday' lunch and got the lanterns out of the roof. Surprisingly undismayed after several uses and years of storage. Weather kept fine and tho well wrapped up it was very pleasant out.
The girls were thrilled to lead the procession just after Father Christmas and the dancing ladies and band. Lots of people in the procession and thousands watching. The fireworks were amongst the best I've seen and the girls were enthral led!
We hurried home afterwards and C and the girls headed off for Lucy4s for a meal. They were still chatting at midnight!
