Weather appalling today. No chance of planned walk and picnic! Packed at the Barn and went to the Marquee to collect wine and stuff. Raining in sheets. Emotions running very high after all the excitement. Escaped to M and Hs for lunch then home.

Arrived at midday to the Old Forge where we were to stay in the Barn with M and H with N and G on campbeds. Very nice place. Roy and Ros, Bonner and Judy, Jill and David in the main house. Weather could be much better. Lovely setting for the wedding marquee. Rather a long walk to a magnificent oak tree for a sort of Humanist celebration of the wedding which actually happened on Wednesday. It was cold and damp tho.
