Didn't get as many hours work as I did last week but it was still a good one. Started taking my iPod with me to work and it's made the days pass by much quicker bopping along to my music up and down the rows of peppers.

Monday was pretty grim though.. torrential downpours in the morning put an early end to the day. We're starting at 7am now due to the sun rising later and work was called off at 11am as we were all soaked to the bone freezing cold.

The rest of the working week was a complete contrast though.. roasting hot sunshine with not a cloud in the sky. The mornings have been perishing though.. just 2 to 3 degrees at the crack of dawn!! I've been wearing four layers in the morning to keep the cold out but they soon get removed once the sun starts to rise. Never expected it to get this cold in Australia.. turns out Stanthorpe is officially the coldest place in Queensland!!

It's coming to the end of the pepper and tomato season so there hasn't been as much to pick this week. Friday we were tearing down the tomato bushes again and I think we will be doing more of this in the coming weeks. We've been told Monday is the last pick of the peppers which I'm absolutely delighted about! I hope I never have to do it ever again.. something has seriously gone wrong if I do.

With the work beginning to dry up people have started to look elsewhere for jobs but I'm hoping to stay on with a few others for any odd jobs that need doing. I've had a word with the bosses so fingers crossed they can keep me on.

There have been recent rumours of Barbera Farm going bust and they appear to be true as the local news announced it. Apparently it isn't going to affect the immediate future so hopefully it won't affect my remaining six weeks I need to gain the second year visa. Over the half way stage now so the countdown has begun!!

Had the weekend off again so it was more of the same at Central on Friday evening for 'Happy Hour'. Got up early on Saturday morning to go for breakfast and a Skype session at Cosmo's Cafe, then went for a good run when I got back, followed by an improvised workout at the hostel. Had a low key night watching a film in the room with a takeaway pizza.

Having a pretty chilled Sunday.. just at Cosmo's again for the wifi, going to get some food shopping and another improvised workout at the hostel is on the cards followed by some more film watching.

Last day of peppers tomorrow!!!!!! :))))))))))))
