After picking the car up yesterday we heads out to Bill Baggs State Park. It was HOT, very busy and being numpties we hadn't even taken any water - how daft are we!? 40 degree heat and no water. We had a little walk along the hot sand before heading back to find a shop - mmmm, ice cream. We decided to get some groceries and call it a day. Back at the hotel we had a rather healthy tea (unusually for America) and after one glass of red at 5.30pm I was in bed fast asleep. The other two lasted until 9pm (so I was told this morning).
Today we had a trip booked and the first part of it took us on an Air Boat Ride. This was good fun and yes we saw a few alligators watching us with their beady eyes. We also watched Greedy, Killer and Bobby the HUGE alligators being fed by a very silly guy standing in between them. Greedy clamped his jaw on the guy's knee at one point!
Onto the second part of the tour around Miami which was really nothing to write home about so I won't.
A welcoming dip in the pool back at the hotel and some freshly baked cookies from reception were chomped rather quickly.
