Tennant Creek (an old gold town) had some interesting sights that were only a short drive from the town. The information centre had a novel display called Freedom Fortitude and Flies with the focus from women and children of the times. We stayed close to town so were able to ride around. We met a couple who talked us into catching the courtesy bus to the Memorial Club and join them at the Memo Restaurant for a feed of Barra and a few laughs over drinks before they headed south and us north.
