Geoff N Jan Cagney's Travels
Kakadu is such a vast national park with wetlands and rocky formations. With the NT burning off program it isn't as dense as you would expect. Air is the best way to see it. We didn't do the falls as the 4WD tracks were a bit long and rough. We did do a walk through the rock art at Ubirr and one at Djarradjin but turned back after 1km when we came across a mob of wild pigs including lots of piglets (sorry didn't stop for photos!). We got a good look by air including the town, Ranger Mine and the Holiday Inn which is shaped like a crocodile.
