Hi eveyone, hope you are all well. Sorry it has been so bloody long since I updated - Ive been a bit of a lazy bunny sorry! Well Airlie Beach, was so much fun, spent bout 5 days there just livin it up big time! Cause we travelled up with Dan and Jon we kept the party goin with them and met up with their friends who were already there. Really nice lagoon which is we spent most of our days, finally getting to sunbath and the nights we spent drinkin and havin a laugh! On our last day there we rang round tryin to find jobs, at 1st had no luck at all but then rang where we are at the moment, Ayr and managed to find work - wahoo! We are stayin in Delta Backpackers which is a workin hostel so they find work for you etc.. We arrived on a Thursday and started work on the Friday! Been here just over 2 weeks now cant believe how quick the time has gone, it has been nice getting into a bit of a routine though and stayin in 1 place so we have settled in! Oh my god! Fruit pickin is the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life! Dont ever do it or let your kids do it! We are pickin Zuchinnis (courjettes - cant spell it). We are up at 5.30am everyday ready for the 6am bus startin work at 7am! Can you actually believe Im gettin up that early! Doin bout 8 -10hours a day so earnin money but it is just so hard in the bakin sun, yes I am makin sure I dont burn and have a hat etc.. our backs are so sore by the end of the day cause your bent over for so long but after a beer, shower and massage with tiger balm when we're home we are all good again! We plan to stay for another 2 weeks so will have worked for about a month. It is easy to save here as it is just a small town and going to bed early and not doing much. Everyone is in the same boat and the people we've met here are really lovely. Before I got a perminant job I did 2 days CIH for a really sweet farmer, had to pain his tractors for him! He invited me and Mel round for dinner last week. It was really nice to have a home cooked meal of Bangers and Mash after pasta for 3 months and be in a home! Had a really nice evening. Mel is on a different farm to me which is a bit s*** but just gettin on with it. Its funny because we have spent so much time together when we're at work we miss each other! Had day off today after 9 bloody days on, so needed! Had big night out last night and didnt go to bed till 8am this mornin! Back to the grind tommorrow and dont want to go! We are goin to watch a cane fire tonight which should be cool, will let you know how it goes. Anyway guys, not much to tell really just workin hard like you all are! Love to everyone.
