Hi everyone, Just a quick littel update. Left Airlie Beach Saturday morning after the Boat group get together. Had a really good night out - again! - with everyone. (Mel's got some piccies on her website of everyone we met) and then met up with Gary for our last night out before we left! Had a 9am 11hour bus ride up to Cairns in the morning - surprislingly not to bad managed to sleep most of the way which was a bonus and whenever we stopped just ate loads of junk food to feed our hangovers! **Mel you would have been so pleased with how much we actually ate!** Arrived in Cairns Saturday night, hostel really nice and we've got a balcony which looks over the lagoon. Weather is beautiful here, really tropical as we are so far up. We was hoping to get up to Cape Tribulation or Port Douglas but cause we've only got 4 days here we just couldnt fit it in as it would be a bit of a rush and we needed to sort out our flights as we've decided to change our trip around a bit, do our washing and close our bank accounts and borin stuff like that! We are now going to spend 3 weeks in New Zealand couple of reasons 1. It is bloody freezing over there and dont think we could take too much of the cold! 2. Our money will go so much further in Thailand. We have booked up a camper van to travel around the islands so we are going to have so much fun on a road trip. We are both so looking forward to it. We bough warm coats today and wooly hats so we are prepared for the cold although it is still gonna be such a shock to our systems after all the beautiful weather we've been having. Also finally managed to get a bit of a tan so we are both a bit sad in the thought of it fading!! So we have changed our flights now so we have 3 weeks in NZ and 7 weeks in Thailand. My sister Mel is hopefully going to come out and see us for her holiday which will be so cool, really cant wait to see her! We are leaving Oz in 1 day, really cannot believe it, our time here has just been so much fun, would not have changed a thing we have done at all, met some really lovely people and seen some amazing places. We are definatly sad to leave but excited about our next adventure in NZ as well. Hope everyone is well, Missing you all still loads, Big hugs Gem xxx
