We are having such a brilliant time in Thailand. It's a really beautiful place. We had heard some negative stuff about it from other people on the way round, but what we have seen of it so far is brilliant.

We came to Chiangmai only really to go to the Elephant sanctuary. We ended up going to that & also got roped into going to a snake farm, monkey "school", Thailands biggest diamond store, a silk place, and a craft shop all in the same day! The snake farm was first. Some crazy guys were jumping around them & they were narrowly missed by some angry biting snakes ( it was part of a show so I'm sure they knew what they were doing!) We also got to have our picture taken with a massive python, which was cool. Next was the monkey school, we felt a bit sorry for these guys! They were taught to ride bikes & pick out numbers & dive for coins. They seemed to enjoy jumping in the water & also climbing trees to get coconuts but the rest they didn't seem to want to do! The elephant camp was the best bit of the day. We had another ride on an enormous elephant called "Bungeon", he was huuuuuge & had massive tusks. He was pretty hungry & pulled down a whole banana tree on the way round & stopped every two seconds for food! He ate our bunch of bananas hole!
