We arrived into Bali at about midnight and the people from our hotel did not turn up to pick us up so we had to take a taxi & didn't realise that it was an hour & a half drive from the airport! We arrived so late we went straight to bed without having a look around the resort. When we woke up we heard really loud waves outside our window & saw that we were right by the sea (there was no beach!). The resort was really nice & would have been very quiet had they not been building a swimming pool right outside our window, but that didn't ruin it really as it was so cheap. In fact it was so cheap we had a massage every day & ate at some really nice restaurants. We also bought soooooooooo much stuff, including a massive carved wooden Buddha for 20 quid. The town was very quiet as it was the end of rainy season & still quite wet. We took a trip to the Kings Palace, The 2 Floating Palaces, a local market & some snorkelling, all in one day & aftre that there was not much else to do so we went down to Kuta, the busiest part of Bali.
