Gelati to Giraffes- Our year away
Wow, yesterday we saw one of the most amazing things, we've seen and it was barely mentioned by anyone ... Scale del Turchino near Agrigento. Amazing, dazzling white chalky calcareous rock formations like layers sloping into crystal clear waters. Nerve wracking at times as Zoe and Zac kept wanting to run near the drop off but in shifts but we managed to watch the sunset & enjoy another of mother nature's masterpieces. Earlier we had visited Macalube, an area of small "volcanoes" of bubbling or overflowing liquid clay & gases. What a day ... hard to top but perhaps a volcanic eruption might just do it! Go Etna .... well, within nice safe but spectacular limits!
I love Italy!
