On Friday the 18th april we were picked up by the ripcurl bus in sydney and taken on a 3 hour drive down the coast to our next destination...surf camp! Hence the title we were going to learn how to surf. Up at 7am on saturday for brekky we were briefed at 7.45 and sized for wetsuits. Again, another long 10 hour coach journey. This one possibly felt like the longest so far probably because the bus was so busy! When we arrived in Sydney we also felt slightly cursed seeing as it was once again raining. In actual fact it rained everyday in Sydney and they say there in draught! Sydney was surprisingly smaller than we expected and we covered most of in a day. We saw the Opera House, The Harbour Bridge although we didn't climb it as it was expensive...

We arrived at Byron Bay following another 2 hour coach trip and much to ourr surprise the rain had once again followed us down from the previous place! It piddled it down for the first day and much of the second day. Byron Bay is a small beach side town which has a lot of hippies and strange shops.
