Arriving at Ayers Rock it was 42 degrees. I felt like passing out. It was just so so hot. When the plane came into land you could see an aerial view of Uluru and things looked promising.

Yet again we had booked into a room share and we ended up sharing a room with a bloke from Brighton who's main intentions were getting battered and a women from Venezula. It was interesting to say the least.

On our first proper day there the tour which wanted to do in the morning was fully booked so we ended up just relaxing around the pool for the majority of the day. Later on that day we went on a tour bus to see the sunset at Ayers Rock. This wasn't too good at we both felt a little ripped off as all they did was drive around the rock in a bus without air conditioning and then park up at the car park to see the sunset. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Later on that day, as it was Paddy's day we decided to hit the resort bar where there was a musician playing Irish songs and mingling them with his digeridoo. It was interesting.

The next morning we were up for half 4 to get on a 4x4 bus for the sunset. It happened to be that the tour guide was a bloke we had been speaking to the night before in the bar. He was Irish Aboriginal and very interesting.

The 4x4 tour started off by driving offroad to a sight where you could watch the sunrise. When we got there it was pitch black and the sky was clear as a bell allowing us to see every star i think there is. The tour guide was supplying us with coffee, muffins and then a Bacon and Egg Sandwich all the time and whilst the sun was rising.
Following this the tour guide was teaching us about his aboriginal beliefs, food and methods.

We then drove around Ayers Rock where the tour guide told us the true stories and stories of aboriginals. It was all very intersting and the tour guide definately made the tour.

All in, Ayers Rock was good but only because the resort was good and the 2nd tour we booked on was well worth the money as it was both intersting and fun.
