So, We have now left Perth and both have thoroughhly have enjoyed ourselves there. The city is so so clean and the weather was great 36 degrees most days. Neither of us burnt though which was a complete highlight.
Whilst in Perth we made the most of the city and what it and its surburbs have to offer. We did numerous things there including going to Rottnest Island and Fremantle.
On our first day in Perth we went to the aquarium which had a few big fish and a few colourfuls ones but it was possibly a bit of a waste of money. Sorry about more photos of fish, there wont be anymore!
The following day we went to Kings Park. Kings Park is a huge park which is perfectly maintained and includes a tree top walk amongst other things. This park was brilliant the best park we have ever been to and it was the perfect place to just relax and chill out.
We then took the train to Fremantle. Fremantle is a small harbour in the suburbs of Perth. It was a really nich chilled out place. There were lots of bars and restaurants along the harbour side so we had a couple of drinks at a micro brewery/bar then some fish and chips before Sarah decided to fall into the sea. We also went to Fremantle Prison which was the largest Convict built place in western Australia, it was interesting but slightly depressing.
We also went to Rottnest Island, which was a small island with not much population. We hired bikes and biked all the way round the island which was about 11KM. There were loads of these small animals called Qwokkas which are only found on that island. We had to dodge them on the road a couple of times. We hired snorkels but there were no fish.
The hostel wasn't too brilliant, there wasn't much atmosphere and no one really mingled. During our time there we room shared with 4 Germans and 1 Irish Person
Perth was beautiful, clean and chilled out well worth checking out but dont stay at the Billabong Hostel.
