Last night we stayed in Victorville, CA, which is kind of on the southwestern edge of the Mojave Desert. We were looking forward to having a look out at Mojave, but the weather the past couple of days has been absolutely terrible, and far from ideal sight-seeing weather. Alot of the roads around the towns are like rivers - the drainage systems can't keep up! Still, we have been in no rush to get back to LA, because of the thunderstorms (as I'm sure you've heard/seen/read about) and bad weather tearing up the Californian coast.
That said, we had planned to stay with Will Gile again this weekend, so we made the trip from Victorville to his place in the "Valley" (San Fernando Valley). Coming through the pass toward San Bernardino the visibility was average, but we were just stoked, cause we were getting snowed on in Southern California!...Something that doesn't happen every day.
We caught up with Will after he got off school and he took us along to his study group at Van Nuys Church where we got to meet a few of his crew! They roped him in to playing his guitar for the worship service in the morning, so we'll stroll along there for Church tomorrow too!
