Saturday morning we headed to Van Nuys for Church. The people there were super friendly and made an effort to welcome us, so they just earned points in my books!
In the evening, we headed down to Anaheim, CA for the third round of the AMA Supercross Series. It was held at Angel Stadium - Anaheim's home of baseball. As we'd missed out on getting along to an NFL, NBA, or Baseball game, we figured we better experience at least one sport in America, so this was it!
It was an awesome night of racing. Unfortunately World Supercross Champ Chad Reed - Australia's best supercross export came off at the previous round in Phoenix injuring his wrist and didn't make it on his bike for Anaheim, so that was a blow, but nonetheless, the competition remained high, with the fight for the lead in the final race changing multiple times. A good night was had by all!
Sunday we just hung out with Will and had a fun day...we went to a golf driving range, then hit up the baseball batting cages - this time at 80mph! Our hands were wrecked after that! The vibration from the bat hitting the ball just goes right through you at that speed! Will then took us along to Costco where we had lunch for only a few bucks each, and had a stroll through the store - it's a massive wholesale department/grocery store open to the public. Hectic.
