Yesterday we began our kiwi experience bus pass around New Zealand! We first arrived in Christchurch, which to be honest wasn't great because there isn't that much to do since the earthquake hit, but it was amazing to see how much it was being rebuilt! We are now in a place called Kaikoura which is famous for marine life. On the coach on the way to our hostel we saw quite a few dolphins jumping around in the waves which was really cool and as we couldn't afford the whale watching we decided to go on a 10k walk to see some seals instead! In the end there wasn't that many to see but the walk was beautiful along the coastline. Tomorrow we're heading to the ferry to go across to the north island where our first stop is Wellington! Apparently there is a music festival going on there at the moment so hopefully we will be able to check that out. Now going to get some fish and chips as Kaikoura is famous for them!
