This week was our last week at mae salak which was so sad!! on monday the students had exams so while susie went to chiang mai hospital to get her stomach looked at again i supervised some exams and got the english ones ready for tuesday!! the singapour students also arrived to start the building of the homestay so i got a lift on the song taew with them for allys leaving dinner!!

on tuesday we marked and did the exams which was very amusing as some of the children clearly hadn't taken in much or not been to class whilst others did surprising ly well!! in the evening kru ob cooked for us again!! which was lovely!! chino and toe ate with us too!!

on wednesday evening we threw our teachers a goodye dinner which was lovely and they really enjoyed playing pass the pastle with forfeits and there gifts hidden the men in the pig pen!! where kru yute actually bought a pig back from it while dressed in susies clothes!! we cooked them english food which actually went down quite well and decorated the room!! after the dinner we were taken to an akha hill tribe to see the singapour students where they were doing a home stay!! we joined in with the tribal dancing which was good fun too!! we then were taken out to a club in fang which was very surreal with some interesting thai music in our van!!

on thursday we were getting things ready for our leaving party on friday!! in the morning the kids said goodbye as only some of them would be there the following day and we gave them our collage which they loved!! they stood around in a circle and sang "my love" which was sweet but rewined slightly by the fact we were next to waew so found it rather funny!! they then all shook our hands one by one in a long line!! in the afternoon a snake was caught outside our school and hung up!! we then went to get the camp ready for the party on friday and swam in the river it turned into a huge water fight with alot of young kids clinging onto the older ones and me trying not to be swept away by the current!! in the evening chino and toe, buffalo, and songchai gave us some gifts and it ended up in a very fun game of cards mainly pig where we had pen all over our faces!!

on friday was our party in the morning we headed down to the beach susie with her special sick chair for her to "sleep"in!! they played lots of games which looked like fun and i joined in with the egg throwing and water games!! we did pass the pasel again which went down well!! they gave us so many gifts including karen shirts, a book, and many more!! it was really sweet and even the students gave us things...... we had a yummy lunch and did lots of swimming before heading back on top of the pick up truck!! in the evening there were more cards with more of the kids staying to play and aoy cooked for us too!! lots of the students were really sad and alot of the boys which surprised us....!! we then began our packing!!
