When I arrived this was all under water for the rainy season was just finishing at the end of October,so I'm getting out before it starts again as they get lot of rain here.
Wednesday, got to say I'm bored with writing this, especially when you look and find what you thought was saved as a draft has gone.
Basically I had mentioned that my bike has had a flat tyre nearly everyday since I got back here.
Just gone down to check it flat again.
It's great here as there are men along the roadside whom mend your bike, trouble is I keep having to go to another one as I'm in a different place and they don't speak any English.
I can't be bothered to walk it half a mile to the same place. It's only cost about 5000 riel to keep fixing, but it's just annoying
This morning two couples have Takeo of back to Phnom Penh, it's been great as they are card players so had some good card evenings
Don't no if I have mentioned it but I am no longer at the centre I moved around to Matt & Nou's house which is much better. Cooler house plus I have air-con bedroom. Although don't like to put it on to much as electric is expensive here.
Neville had 24 Hongkongers arrive he knew they where coming so just told us all to move out, which hasnt gone down well with us all.Neville doesn't seem to realise that volunteers donate. Although thinking about it bet that group are leaving a big donation.
There is a lot of problems here at the moment, maybe I shouldn't have come back as you find out what is really happening !!!
At Xmas we raised over 3000 dollars I only know where 1200 went.
A lady left 2000 dollars to do the kitchen and it's been done on a budget
Of 400, we paid for the paint for dining room so whats happened to the rest.
I'm just not getting the right vibes with a lot of things.
Simone & Shane, friends of mine have kindly donated £187.00 so I am trying to sort out what the kids need so that they get it.
I'm so glad I done the toilet & showers myself and didn't put it into the big melting pot.
Anyhow pool has been cleaned up & is advertised on Facebook, people think it's wonderful, also say how great for the kids, but its not been for them.
The back garden is full of locals all paying 5000 riel for an hour, something will happen before long.!!!!!
Anyhow that's my gripe sad thing is bet I won't return because of it, it's the kids that suffer.
Also other volunteers bought a bouncy castle for Xmas it needs a new lead or something as it got broken by big group of outside kids. So meanwhile it's rotting, such a waste.
But good news flight is booked for Tuesday 13th so all being well will touch down to lovely cool air on the 14
Few days at my sons then home sweet home. The journey is over
Very excited
