Test Run
During our last few hours in the countryside we drove through thick fog then into the clear to climb the Grabrok crater - one of a group of 3 craters together beside the road. It was quite a spectacular view from the top & not too bad on the knees getting down again - thank goodness. Toured the Settlement Museum to learn a little about the Vikings who were the first people here & Egil's saga in diorama format. What a brutal group of people! Heading for Reykjavik we found a knitting outlet where Geoff finally bought an Icelandic jumper for a reasonable price. Through a 6km long tunnel to get back to Reykjavik, completing a full circle of the island of Iceland. Well done to Geoff for doing all the driving over 1800kms on the opposite side of the road in a manual car with gear changes done right-handed!
